Waves Abbey Road J37 Tape
Overview
The Waves Abbey Road J37 Tape is a detailed model of the original Studer J37 tape machine used at Abbey Road Studios during the 1960s. Developed in collaboration with Abbey Road Studios, it brings the tonal character of valve tape recording into a modern digital workflow.
J37 can add warmth, depth, width, harmonic character, and cohesion to individual tracks, groups, or complete mixes. It also provides detailed control over tape behavior, allowing engineers to move from subtle analog enhancement to more pronounced tape coloration.
