Calrec M Series Vintage Discrete Analog Console - 48 Channel

A classic modular analog recording and mixing console built in the tradition of Neve and EMI, this Calrec M series was built to BBC standards, giving it a rich, colorful tone.  48 channel frame, loaded with 34 input modules (22 mono Mic/Line modules, and 12 Stereo line modules) and 48 routing modules, 8 buss, 4 foldback and 2 echo sends, 4 band equalizer (HF & LF shelf with HMF & LMF parametric) with sweepable HPF and LPF. For a little more than a couple pairs of vintage modules, you can have an entire classic British console featuring:

  • 2 Master Faders
  • MS2591 Master Section

This is a beautiful sounding console from the 70's, built for broadcasting, with classic transformers, transistors, inductors and discrete electronics.  It sounds very much like a classic Neve console, and has the same type of "Larger than Life" sound.

It's also in need of some love to bring it back to it's former glory.  It's missing modules, hasn't been powered up in years, and needs a good cleaning and lube job to restore the contacts and switches.  For the right person who is willing to get under the hood and get dirty, this can be a real treasure.  Compare to the price of a Vintage Neve, and there's a lot of console here for short money.
