Edge 360
Ultra-linear condenser measurement microphone
The Edge 360 is Antelope Audio’s precision omnidirectional measurement microphone, built for Antelope Audio’s proprietary room correction tools as well as 3rd party room analysis, loudspeaker tuning and system calibration applications. A
uncoloured pickup that acoustic measurement demands, while a gold-plated XLR output and 48 V phantom powering let it drop straight into any interface or measurement rig - giving you a trustworthy reference for the room your mixes are made in.
Key Highlights
-
Reference-Flat Response - Linear 20 Hz - 20 kHz frequency response with no presence lift or voicing, so what you measure is the room and the system - not the microphone.
-
True Omnidirectional Pickup - A 16 mm electret condenser capsule with an omni polar pattern captures the full sound field from every direction, as required for RTA, RT60 and impulse-response work.
-
High SPL Headroom - Handles up to 124 dB SPL, staying clean through full-range sweeps, subwoofer excursion tests and loud live rooms.
-
Plug-and-Play Compatibility - 3-pin gold-plated XLR output, 48 V phantom power and an output impedance below 300 Ω for reliable performance over long cable runs.
-
Ready for Any Environment - A slim metal sturdy body with included standard clip and travel-ready case.
Measure the room, not the microphone.
Measurement microphones are judged on what they do not add. The Edge 360 is voiced for linearity across the full 20 Hz - 20 kHz audible band, with none of the presence peaks or low-end shaping found in vocal and instrument condensers. That neutrality is what makes readings trustworthy: peaks and dips in a trace can be attributed to the room, the enclosure or the crossover, rather than to the transducer capturing them.
Capture the whole sound field.
The omnidirectional pattern responds equally to sound arriving from any direction, which is exactly what reverberation and room-response measurements require. Reflections, modal build-up and decay tails are all captured with the same weighting as the direct signal, giving RT60, spectrogram and impulse-response measurements a complete picture of the acoustic space instead of a directional slice of it.
Stay clean when the system gets loud.
With a maximum SPL of 124 dB and a signal-to-noise ratio of 70 dB, the Edge 360 covers the working range between a quiet control room and a full-output PA system. Pink-noise sweeps, subwoofer alignment and large-venue tuning can be run at realistic levels without the capsule compressing or the preamp stage clipping, so a single microphone handles both ends of a calibration session.
Works with the tools you already own.
The Edge 360 connects over a standard 3-pin gold-plated XLR and runs on the 48 V phantom power supplied by any modern interface, mixer or measurement front end. An output impedance below 300 Ω keeps the signal stable over long cable runs to the far side of a venue, and the microphone is compatible with the usual measurement software suites for RTA, transfer function and impulse-response analysis.
Know what your room is really doing.
Every monitoring decision you make is filtered through the space you make it in. The Edge 360 turns that unknown into data: run a sweep, see where the modes sit, and place your speakers, treatment and subwoofer on evidence rather than guesswork. Used alongside an Antelope interface and your measurement software of choice, it closes the loop between the signal path you trust and the acoustics you have to work in.
