Crane song limited

Crane Song owner, founder and design engineer Dave Hill has become one of the most respected inventors in the professional audio business. Dave has been doing studio and film sound recording since 1972. Early in the 1980's Dave was asked by a used equipment dealer if he could design a tube compressor that would have the sound of the older tube type devices and still be clean enough to compete with modern devices. The result of this request was the Summit Audio TLA-100. On the success of that first design, Dave went on to design multiple tube devices for Summit. In 1995 Dave founded Crane Song, a new company based on solid state pro audio and innovative pro audio software.

Today the Crane Song family of products has grown to nine pieces; the STC-8 compressor, *HEDD (Harmonically Enhanced Digital Device), FLAMINGO, a stereo microphone preamplifier, TRAKKER, a single channel compressor, SPIDER, an eight channel microphone preamplifier, mixer and A/D convertor, AVOCET, a discrete class A studio controller, IBIS, a stereo analog equalizer, EGRET, a highly flexible digital audio workstation back end and PHOENIX, an analog modeling TDM plug-in suite for Pro Tools HD.

Crane Song Ltd. is able to provide the highest level of quality due to the many years of experience of both Dave and the people who have stayed with him. Some of these employees have worked with Dave since 1988 and continue to have an intense interest in developing the best audio devices possible. Crane Song's combination of innovative design and uncompromising attention have helped the company make its mark in the professional audio world.
