Amphion Amp100 mono
The Amphion Amp100 is a single-channel Class D, 100-watt-per-channel stereo amplifier distortion and noise-free, designed to complement the Amphion One12, One15, and One18 for single-monitor applications.
The Amphion Amp100 mono is a custom Class D power amplifier that is a single-channel version of the stereo Amp100. The Amp100 mono is intended for single-channel applications. Designed specifically to complement the clear, natural sound of Amphion’s One12, One15, and One18 studio monitors, the 100-watt Amp100 mono amplifier features Anaview’s patented AMS (adaptive modulation servo) amplifier technology. Technically and sonically identical to its stereo sibling, the Amp100 mono provides amplification at its best; free of distortion and background noise, ensuring transparency and musicality for the most accurate mixing and mastering results.
Amphion Amp100 key features and tech:
- Compact size and weight with equal power as its bigger sibling.
- Designed specifically for use in mobile rigs, or locations with limited space
- World-class performance ensured by Adaptive Modulation Servo (AMS) Technology
- 100W into 8 ohms
- 100kHz load independent frequency range (-3dB)
- Almost flat THD vs. frequency
- 115dB dynamic range

Amphion Amp100—Under the Hood
AMS (adaptive modulation servo) amplifier technology
Amphion’s founder, Anssi Hyvönen in his search for an amplifier that would complement the transparency and musicality of Amphion speakers found that the Anaview AMS0100 was the only Class D amplifier he heard that didn’t sound sterile. And so, a collaboration was born, resulting in the Amphion AMP100 mono. It’s an integrated audio solution that combines high-end amplifier and power supply technology, Amp100 mono is capable of delivering 100 watts into 8 ohms.
The Amp100 features Anaview’s patented AMS (adaptive modulation servo) architecture, which corrects nonlinearities in parallel with the class D stage itself. The technology offers wide, 1st-order bandwidth and 0.05% THD+N at rated power—and a truly first-class-listening experience.
Amp100 mono applications
The Amp100 mono answers the need for single-channel applications, such as the center channel of a surround setup, powering a single passive point-source speaker (such as an Auratone 5C or Amphion One12) for mono mixing, mobile rigs, or simply a space-challenged studio.
*PAD Pro tech tip: Mixing quietly in mono from a single point-source monitor (such as the old single-speaker Auratones), is one of the best-kept secrets for mix balance and translation. It’s much easier to judge the balance of two instruments superimposed on one another in mono than when they are several feet apart. It’s also easier to judge reverb amounts. So do your panning, balancing, and reverbs in mono, and when you switch back to stereo, everything will open up, with greater clarity and size. The big secret is to use only one point-source monitor in mono.
The MobileOne12 system
The Amp100 mono amplifiers are also available in a bundle with a pair of compact One12 studio monitors and speaker cables, housed in a sturdy wooden travel case, and padded to ensure easy and safe transportation. Contact your PAD Professional for more information.
Who’s using Amphion?
Amphion has become the go-to monitoring solution for A-list mixers, producers, engineers, and producers, including the venerable Bruce Swedien (Thriller), Grammy-winner Dave Pensado (Beyoncé, Maroon 5), Jacquire King (Kings of Leon, Nora Jones), Grammy-winner Dave Reitzas (Madonna, Seal), BAFTA award-winning composer, Jasper Kyd; Jack Joseph Puig (The Black Crowes, John Mayer); and many more.
The overall design philosophy and aesthetic of Amphion’s founder, Anssi Hyvönen, is that monitors should reproduce music in all its natural splendor and beauty without adding or removing anything—just the pure and simple truth of what you’ve recorded or mixed. To achieve this goal, Amphion has spent considerable effort developing technologies that provide an honest representation of program material, beginning with audiophile speakers.
Whether you are composing, tracking, mixing, or mastering, the Amphion studio monitors enable you to work faster and achieve premium results. These transparent and elegantly-truthful studio monitors are perfectly balanced, and easily respond to any acoustic environment, personal taste, or music genre.
